The best Dead By Daylight pig build uses stealth and map positioning to take players out quickly. One of the few killers added to the game that is based on another famous series, the Pig, also known as Amanda Young, is a flexible killer with a fun power.
Some might say that the Pig heavily relies on RNG because of her traps, but killing will be easier if you know her best perks, add-ons, and tricks. This handy guide will tackle everything, so read on to destroy any survivor in your way.
Dead By Daylight the Pig perks
The Pig has three unique perks that can be unlocked for other killers via the bloodweb.
Hangman’s Trick
Gain a loud noise notification whenever a survivor begins sabotaging a hook. When you pick up a survivor, you see the aura of survivors within 2/4/6 meters of any hook on the map.
Surveillance
Generators that start to regress are highlighted in a white Aura. If that generator starts being worked on, the aura will turn yellow for 8/12/16 seconds.
Make Your Choice
Each time a survivor is rescued from a hook that you’re at least 32 meters away from, this perk activates and the rescuer is given the Exposed status effect for the next few seconds.
What is the best build and perks for the Pig?
We would go with the following perks for the Best possible Build for The Pig:
Corrupt Intervention (The Plague perk)
The three furthest generators to the Pig will be blocked by the Entity for several seconds at the start of the trial.
Surveillance (The Pig perk)
The auras of regressing generators will be revealed in white. If the regression progress is interrupted, the generator will be revealed with a yellow aura for a few seconds.
Save the Best for Last (The Shape perk)
This perk will gain a token each time the Pig hits a survivor that is not their obsession. Gain a stack-able cooldown reduction for each token (maximum of 40%).
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (The Artist perk)
Four random hooks will be changed into scourge hooks at the start of the trial. When a survivor is hit with a scourge hook, the generator with the most progression will instantly regress at 15/20/25% of its maximum possible progression. Also, all survivors who are repairing that generator will scream, but will not reveal their location.

The Pig’s power is called Jigsaw’s Baptism.
The Pig’s power gives her three special abilities: reverse bear traps, crouch, and ambush. Each of these abilities help the Pig apply pressure to the survivors in a unque way.
The Pig starts the trial with four reverse bear traps which can only be put on survivors who are in the dying state. These traps remain inactive until a generator is completed.
If the survivor does not get their active reverse bear trap off in time or try to leave through an exit gate without removing it, the trap will activate and kill them instantly.
The Pig’s crouch ability works well with players who like sneak up to their prey. When the Pig is in crouch mode, she gains the undetectable status effect but her movement speed is slowed down tremendously. Crouch also allows the player to use the Pig’s other ability, ambush. When the Pig activates ambush, she lets out a roar and dashing at an increased speed to attack a Survivor.
Best add-ons for the Pig in Dead by Daylight
The Pig is a killer that heavily relies on her reverse bear traps. Also, there are several add-ons that make her whole kit much stronger. Here is a collection of the best add-ons to use in Dead by Daylight.
Last Will
This add-on increases the movement speed for the Pig's ambush by 6%. However, the charge-up time for her ambush dash is also increases by 33%.
Video Tape
All the survivors will now start the trial with reverse bear traps installed on them if the Pig has this add-on.
Crate of Gears
An add-on that increases the attaching speed of reverse bear traps by 50%. Crate of Gears also reduces the search speed of Jigsaw Boxes by 25%.
Amanda’s Letter
With this add-on, the Pig can now see the auras of all survivors within 16 meters of her location. However, Amanda's Letter reduces the available reverse bear traps by two.
Dead By Daylight The Pig tips and tricks
- Trick survivors into wasting a pallet or losing the chase by using crouch and ambush in a different direction than they are running to.
- Don’t always crouch. Your movement speed is tremendously slowed, and you should only crouch when you’re certain that survivors are within the area and want to surprise them.
- Save one of your reverse bear traps for the endgame. If you use all of your traps at once, survivors will just get them off and continue with the game. This will lead you to lose a huge map pressure.
- The Pig is a versatile killer and can work with most builds compared to other characters available in the game. Don’t be afraid to try out perks that you want to give a try.
- If you’re finding it hard to sneak up on survivors, one of them likely has spine chill. To avoid this, try to look slightly to the right or left when going to your destination to catch survivors off guard.
- Don’t tunnel the survivor with an active reverse bear trap on his head. While it can be useful to chase survivors off Jigsaw Boxes, it defeats the entire point of the Pig’s power.
