Warzone 2 ranked play arrived as part of the Season 3 Reloaded update and comes with its very own skill divisions and ruleset separate from the standard battle royale playlists.

Does Warzone 2 have ranked play?

Yes! Warzone 2 does have ranked play. It's unclear if its arrival will attract players back to the game, but it's a feature several fans have wanted for months. Let's hope it lives up to expectations.

It's worth noting that Warzone 2 ranked play will launch in beta, allowing developers to make changes in case there are any issues.

Warzone 2 ranked play skill divisions

Similar to the Modern Warfare 2 ranked play formula, Warzone 2 ranked play has the same number of skill divisions. Here's a closer look:

  • Bronze: 0–899 SR
  • Silver: 900–2,099 SR
  • Gold: 2,100–3,599 SR
  • Platinum: 3,600–5,399 SR
  • Diamond: 5,400–7,499 SR
  • Crimson: 7,500–9,999 SR
  • Iridescent: 10,000 SR minimum
  • Top 250: 10,000+ SR

How to earn SR in Warzone 2 ranked play

Earning SR in Warzone 2 ranked play matches is rather straightforward. SR is split into four categories:

  • Final placement
  • Kills
  • Assists
  • Total squad kills

As the number of squads decreases, the SR earned for kills, assists and squad kills increases as follows:

  • 21+ squads remaining: +5 SR per kill/assist | +2 SR per squadmate kill
  • 3-20 squads remaining: +7 SR per kill/assist | +3 SR per squadmate kill
  • 1-3 squads remaining: +15 SR per kill/assist | +7 SR per squadmate kill

Warzone 2 ranked play ruleset

As mentioned earlier, Warzone 2 will come with its very own ruleset that's different from the standard battle royale playlists. Here are some of the rules and regulations you can expect to find when dropping into ranked play:

  • Party Size: Trios
  • Map: Al Mazrah
  • Game Mode: Battle Royale
  • Public Event restrictions (e.g. No Firesales)
  • Vehicle restrictions (e.g. No Heavy Choppers)
  • Restricted gameplay elements (e.g. no multi-circles, changes to redeploy mechanics)
  • Buy Station Inventory Adjustments
  • No flinging rocks at people in the Gulag, because that is just mean

Warzone 2 Season 4 start date

The fourth seasonal update for Warzone 2 is expected to go live on June 14, meaning there are only a few weeks to earn a high rank in Season 3 Reloaded. If the expected start date for Season 4 changes, we'll update the guide so you know exactly when the next season begins.
