While some are already focused on what might happen once GTA 6 gets a concrete release date, many GTA Online players are just trying to make the most of their remaining time in Los Santos.
A fair few of these hardened criminals had hoped that the San Andreas Mercenaries update would help reinvigorate their passion for it, following some weekly updates that left them disappointed, but so far, it seems that the DLC has failed to change many minds.
One aspect of it that went down particularly poorly was the removal of a massive array of vehicles from in-game websites. Now though, as spotted by PCGamesN, a bizarre bug has turned up to make things even worse, by making it possible to have your cars permanently disappear thanks to some faulty insurance.

The issue, which is seeing players lose vehicles worth hefty chunks of in-game cash, is demonstrated by Reddit user Anorint in the clip below, with the affected vehicle suddenly losing the insurance required to claim a replacement version of it from Mors Mutual.
As you can imagine, this is causing uproar among players, with some going as far as uploading images of empty spots in their garages where their lost vehicles should be or old pictures of them designed to act as memorials, to Reddit.
In one of those threads, user JoA2506 joked about how widespread the issue has become, saying: “If I had $1 [for] every post [I’ve seen] about this, it would pay for everyone’s missing vehicles.”
Thankfully, Rockstar has already confirmed it’s looking into the problem, posting a Tweet that states: “We are aware of an issue with vehicles and the loss of vehicle insurance in GTA Online. We are currently working to resolve this and will share an update as soon as it is available.”
For now, those who believe they’ve lost vehicles to the bug are encouraged to submit help requests via Rockstar’s support website, which will allow it to look into what individual accounts have lost and work out a way to resolve any issues.
Update: Rockstar has now confirmed that the bug has been fixed, tweeting: "The issue resulting in insurance not being correctly applied to vehicles in GTA Online is now resolved. Thank you for your patience."
